Objects for rooms after dark
Enterthe house
Lamps, vessels and sculpture by forty-one makers in four countries. Every piece is numbered, signed, and lit here the way it will live in your home.
We started Vesper to sell the things we kept carrying from room to room at night: a stone vessel by the lamp, a bronze ring on the stair. Each is made by someone we know by name, in editions small enough to number by hand.

The hour of lamps
The sun is down and the room is yours. This is when a lamp stops being furniture and starts being the light.
Shop lightingStone remembers the light it was cut in. My work is to give it somewhere dark enough to show it.
Ilaria has turned travertine for Vesper since our first season. Her workshop sits under the old city wall, and she stops work at four each afternoon, when the light goes flat and the stone stops telling her where to cut.
